The Captain Paul Watson Foundation is proud to offer fine art prints by artist Simone Eisenbeiss. Simone is not only a very talented artist, she is also the leader of CPWF Switzerland. In this limited edition work, Simone has depicted a sperm whale. The print also features a short poem by Captain Watson. Captain Watson famously tried to protect a pod of sperm whales from Russian whalers in the pacific ocean. He courageously positioned his inflatable zodiac between the Russian harpoon ship and the sperm whales.\u00a0 The whalers were undeterred by Paul\u2019s attempt however, and fired a harpoon into the back of a female sperm whale. A bull sperm whale turned to protect his family and when he jumped out of the water at the harpoon ship, he was killed by a harpoon.\u00a0 As this particular whale was falling back into the ocean it made a choice not to fall on Paul\u2019s inflatable, thus sparing Paul\u2019s life.\u00a0 Captain Watson made eye contact with that male sperm whale, and that interaction changed his life.<\/p>
